Cancellations and refunds
Version 2026-10-19 · Last updated: October 19, 2026
1. How billing works
When you subscribe to a plan, the price of the plan is charged at that moment and your 30-day period begins. At the end of each period, the next one is charged automatically to the card or payment method you registered, and your listing stays published without you having to do anything. This repeats until you cancel.
Before paying you must read the Terms and conditions and accept them by ticking a box. You will receive a receipt by email after each charge.
2. How to cancel the renewal
- Sign in to your account on Nearboard.
- Go to your listing and choose “Manage subscription”. The secure portal of our payment provider opens.
- Choose “Cancel subscription” and confirm.
If you cannot do it, write to us at hello@nearboard.net from your account email and we will cancel it for you.
3. What happens when you cancel
Canceling stops future charges. It does not return the money for the period you already paid. Your listing stays published until the last day of that period and is then removed.
Example: you subscribe on March 1 (you are charged and your 30-day period starts) and cancel on March 10. Your listing stays published until the end of your 30 days, nothing else is charged and the March payment is not returned. If you had wanted to avoid that payment, you would have had to not subscribe: once paid, the period is complete.
Another example: your period ends on March 31 and you do not want April to be charged. You must cancel before March 31. If you cancel on April 1, April has already been charged and that period is not returned.
There are no “immediate” cancellations with a refund and no “proration” of unused days.
4. No-refund policy
All payments are final and non-refundable.
The listing takes up a place on the platform for the whole 30-day period from when it is published, whether you use it or not. That is why we do not return money in these cases, among others:
- you had no visits, calls, messages or customers, or fewer than expected;
- you changed your mind, even one day after paying;
- you canceled in the middle of the period;
- your listing was rejected, suspended or removed for breaking the rules;
- you made a mistake in your listing or in your contact details;
- you forgot to cancel before the renewal.
Exceptions: if there was a duplicate charge or a mistake on our side, we correct it or refund it. We will also make the refunds that applicable law requires of us.
5. About results
Nearboard is an advertising medium on the internet. We do not promise or ensure customers, sales or a number of visits. There are businesses whose customers hardly search online, and for them this service may bring few or no contacts. It is each business's decision to subscribe knowing this. The statistics in your account show you how your listing is doing so you can decide whether to renew or cancel.
6. When a payment fails
If a charge cannot be made (expired card, insufficient funds, declined by the bank), we will try to charge it again over the following days and notify you by email. If we cannot, your listing will be paused or removed until you update your payment method, and periods in which the listing was not active will not be charged.
7. Price and plan changes
If the price of your plan changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance; the new price applies at your next renewal and you can cancel beforehand. If you want to change plan, the change applies from your next renewal, unless we tell you otherwise when you make it.
8. Questions about a charge
If you see a charge you do not recognize or you have a problem, write to us first at hello@nearboard.net: we can almost always solve it quickly. A chargeback with your bank without having talked to us may lead to your account being suspended while it is clarified.
